JobTextTerms of Service

These terms are the agreement between your business ("you") and JS Films LLC, doing business as JobText ("we", "us"), for the JobText AI receptionist service. JobText is a JS Films LLC company: it is a brand name we use, not a separate company. The free test drive needs no payment. If you activate the paid plan, checkout is handled securely by Square, and charges appear as JS Films LLC on your receipt and card statement. We've tried to keep them short and in plain language. By signing up or using the service, you agree to them.
1. What the service does
JobText puts an AI chat assistant on your website. It answers visitors' questions using information about your business, collects job details (such as name, phone, address, the problem, urgency, and photos), and sends each lead to you by text message and email. We set it up for you and keep it running.
2. Price, billing, and cancellation
- The service costs $199 per month, with $0 setup, unless we agree on a different price in writing. Taxes may apply.
- You're billed monthly in advance through our payment processor (currently Square), starting on the day you activate the paid plan. Your plan renews automatically each month until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime. Use the "manage subscription" link from your billing email, or call, text, or email us. Cancellation stops future charges. The service stays on until the end of the month you've already paid for. There are no cancellation fees.
- We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice. If you don't want the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.
3. Free 24-hour test drive
- New customers can use the service live on their website free for 24 hours (the "test drive"). No credit card or payment is needed to start it.
- The 24 hours start when you switch the assistant on. During the test drive, it answers your website visitors and sends you leads like the paid service.
- It switches off automatically after 24 hours. The chat window stops showing on your website, and you owe nothing. There's nothing to cancel. You can remove the code from your website at any time.
- To keep it, activate the paid plan for $199 per month ($0 setup) through Square. We switch it back on, usually within a few hours of your payment. Your plan then renews monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime.
- The test drive is limited to one per business and one per email address. We may decline or end a test drive that looks like misuse.
- Once you activate, payments are not refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future charges.
4. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information about your business (services, service area, hours, contact details) and tell us when it changes.
- Review your assistant before it goes live and let us know if anything it says is wrong.
- Make sure you're allowed to add the assistant to your website, and keep a privacy policy on your site that tells visitors you use a chat service to collect their information.
- Use leads only to reply to the customer and do the job they asked about, and follow the laws that apply to you, including laws about calling, texting, and emailing customers.
- Keep your alert phone number and email address up to date. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply to alerts.
5. What the AI can and can't do
The assistant is software, not a person. It can make mistakes, misunderstand a visitor, or fail to answer. It does not give binding quotes, appointments, or promises on your behalf unless you've asked us to set it up that way. You are responsible for your dealings with your customers. Always confirm details with the customer before doing work.
6. No guaranteed results
We work hard to help you catch more leads, but we can't promise a specific number of leads, jobs, or revenue. Results depend on your website traffic, your market, and how quickly you follow up.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service running 24/7, but it may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, outages at our providers (such as hosting, text-message, or AI providers), or things outside our control. If an outage lasts a long time, contact us and we'll work out a fair credit.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use JobText for anything illegal, misleading, or harmful, or to send spam. We may suspend the service if it's being misused, and we'll tell you why.
9. Your data and ours
The leads collected for you belong to you. We handle them as described in our Privacy Policy. You give us permission to use your public website content and the information you provide to build and run your assistant. The JobText software, name, and look belong to us.
10. Ending the service
You can cancel at any time (see section 2). We can end the service with 30 days' notice, or right away if you seriously break these terms or don't pay. If we end it without cause, we'll refund any unused prepaid time.
11. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows: the service is provided "as is"; we aren't liable for lost profits, lost jobs, or indirect damages; and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
12. Disputes
If something goes wrong, please call or email us first. Most problems can be fixed quickly. These terms are governed by California law, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, unless the law requires otherwise. Either of us may use small claims court for eligible disputes.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date at the top and tell current customers about important changes at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
